ABOUT THE HOME

Bupa Sutherland is a modern care home located in the heart of the Sutherland Shire, 40 minutes south of Sydney, and is close to local shops, parklands and transport links. It consists of 144 beds, with a variety of care units. Our primary goal is placing our focus on the health, lifestyle and well-being of our residents.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Team player and flexibility to help and support others
• A kind heart and keenness for providing care to the elderly
• Excellent time management and coordination skills
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively
• Warm and empathetic interpersonal skills; ability to build and establish relationships with residents, families and staff
• Positive attitude
• Experience working in customer service in the hospitality industry viewed upon advantageously, but not mandatory

DUTIES

• Assist with basic food prep
• Provide meals and snacks
• Clear dining areas and dishwashing
• Maintain legislated food hygiene and safety practices
• Ad hoc support to the broader team as required, including laundry and cleaning
