OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our catering services, providing exceptional support on a daily basis to the amazing team that is already in place. This position is perfect for individuals who are looking for term time only work and who wish to work set hours on Mon to Fri.
I have 2 positions available due to restructure.
The first is 15 hour a week (3hrs per day) 10:30am - 13:30pm some coffee shop experience would be desirable but not essential. This position is very very fast paced & you need to be “on the ball all the time”
The second is 20 hours a week (4hrs per day) 10:30am - 14:30pm a love of baking cakes is a must! this position will be helping me with baking & prepping for the next day. Its a very demanding role but so worth it!
These positions are VERY fast paced and do require heavy lifting and carrying. You will need to be dedicated, forward thinking, exceptional customer service & attention to detail.
If you think you can commit to the team, work as part of a team but also be comfortable working independently then we want to hear from you.
A full enhanced DBS will be required (paid for by the company) before you can work & E-Learning will need to be completed before the start date. There is ongoing E-learning throughout the roles which you have to complete within a time frame.

SKILLS

• Previous experience in catering, or hospitality is highly desirable.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. when we say fast-paced we mean fast-paced!
• Excellent communication skills to interact positively with team members.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and helping others.

• Assist with the preparation and presentation of food items in accordance with food safety standards.
• Set up and break down catering equipment & serving stations.
• Serve food and beverages to guests, ensuring a high level of customer service at all times.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work areas throughout the day.
• Support the culinary team with food preparation tasks as needed.
• Assist in managing inventory and supplies.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service is delivered daily.
• Make sure all food safety & hygiene proceedures are carried out.
  Help with deliveries - this will include heavy lifting and carrying items upstairs so being fit and healthy is a must.
