THE OPPORTUNITY

Vacenti is seeking a Part-time Catering Assistant to join the catering team at our Marebello facility locared at Victoria Point. Reporting to, and working closely with, the Head Chef, this role will provide assistance in delivering exceptional customer service and meeting our residents catering requirements, primarily through meal preparation, stock rotation and dishes.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out basic food preparation; i.e. washing, peeling, dicing, cutting, grilling, roasting, and baking.
  • Provide basic food & beverage service as required.
  • Receiving deliveries from suppliers
  • Assist with the setup & pack up of catering events
  • Clearing waste & general cleaning including but not limited to crockery, cutlery, service utensils, kitchen surfaces according to hygiene standards.
  • Ensure health and safety practices are followed.
  • Operating machinery, such as mixers and blenders.
  • Assist in the managing and organising of inventory, in the store room and fridge, or where directed.
  • Ensuring Caterers and Chefs have the tools, food and equipment they need.
  • Perform reasonable ad-hoc duties as directed.
