We are looking for a keen Catering assistant to join our Sutton site and support the catering bridge; ensuring high standard of cookery; ensuring high standard of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the Kitchen and other areas of the work place. Please refer to the Job description for further details of the job requirements. It would be beneficial, through not essential, if you have worked in a Hospital catering environment previously. You will need good organisational skills and experience of working as part of a team. Shifts will be varied and will include weekend and some evenings. Contracted days of work will be five days from seven. This is Permanent. You will be a reliable, flexible member of staff showing initiative and commitment to providing a safe, hygienic environment. The key roles preparation of raw and cooked food, picking and packing of cook chill food, sandwiches and salad items for patients and restaurant. To undertake cleaning duties which are appropriate with the post and to assist the kitchen team with the patient, and staff meal service.

• The preparation of vegetables, sandwiches, cold desserts and salad items for both Restaurant and Patient Services as directed by the Chef in charge of the shift.
