The award-winning, woman-owned The Delish Dish Catering & Events is looking for both a full-time Catering Chef AND a Seasonal Catering Chef (September to December) to join our culinary team.
Great candidates will have a mid- to high-level of culinary experience in catering or restaurants, be efficient, organized, and diligent in the kitchen, have a clear understanding of food safety and sanitation, and be willing to improve on the job. Successful candidates will have a great palate, be able to function in a fast-paced, busy kitchen and on-site venue environment as a part of a team.
Successful candidates will have great knife skills and be capable of cooking, from scratch, various cuisine styles (Italian, American, Mexican, Asian). On-the-job training provided for our extensive menus.
The hours for this position are generally 8:45 AM to 5 PM during the week, with some weekend events required as a culinary team member, sous chef, or attendant. If you’re looking for a small business with a family-like feel where your opinions matter, then this is the position for you!

  • Working knowledge of controlling inventory, food costs, labor costs

  • Most hours 9 am to 5 p.m. weekdays, with some weekend events required.
  • Knife and Cooking skills up to company standards
  • Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen
  • Manual dexterity able to operate cutting tools and kitchen utensils
  • A team player with good communication skills.
  • Patient with an ability to stay positive under pressure
  • Very good physical condition and endurance
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time

  • Prepping and producing sauces, dressings, sides, sandwiches and entrees for events from 10 to 500 guests
