JOB OVERVIEW

Position Summary: Radisson Hotel and Conference Centre Calgary Airport is looking for the position of Catering Coordinator who provides support to our sales and events team. This role is the first point of contact with customers. Must be comfortable dealing with customers in person, over the phone, and via email. This position has great growth potential for the right individual.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in restaurant, hotel, or hospitality settings is preferred.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle guest inquiries professionally.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in food preparation and handling is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
    Required education: Diploma in Hospitality Management

Responsibilities
  • Administrative Duties including creation of proposals, contracts and banquet event order through the events system, providing event invoices to the accounting team, and providing event and group information to the banquets team.
  • Coordinate catering events from start to finish, including menu planning, logistics, and execution.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and preferences.
  • Oversee food preparation and presentation to ensure quality and adherence to food safety standards.
  • Manage inventory of catering supplies and equipment, ensuring everything is stocked and ready for events.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food items.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise during events.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with health regulations.
