Job Title: Catering Manager
Location: Boundary Outlet, Colne, Lancashire
Hours: 40 hours per week, working 5 days out of 7

ABOUT US:

Boundary Outlet is a destination for shoppers who value quality and great experiences. Our in-store catering outlets provide delicious food and exceptional service, making every visit memorable. We’re looking for an experienced and personable Catering Manager to join our senior leadership team to oversee our Colne Store’s catering operations.

Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW:

The Catering Manager plays a pivotal role in leading the day-to-day operations of the Colne Store’s thriving catering outlets, which includes BB’s Coffee Shop (500 covers), Bannister’s Restaurant (150 covers), and Ricardo’s Ice Cream Stand. This is very much a hands-on, operational, and customer-facing role, responsible for ensuring the smooth, profitable, and compliant running of all food and beverage services at the Colne Store.
This role provides direct leadership to BB’s Coffee Shop Manager and Bannister’s Front of House Supervisors and Kitchen team, ensuring consistency of delivery across all catering operations within the store. The Catering Manager is responsible for managing and developing the on-site catering management and supervisory teams, delivering operational excellence, and embedding the strategic direction set by the Head of Catering. This role requires a proactive, professional approach and a passion for delivering excellence in every customer interaction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Line management responsibility for the catering leaders across Colne’s food outlets.
  • Identify individual and team training needs by working collaboratively with the Coffee Shop Manager and Restaurant Supervisory Team to deliver coaching and development that drives performance, builds engagement, and supports a positive, high performing team culture.
  • Ensure each catering outlet operates efficiently and profitably, in line with agreed brand and service standards.
  • Drive a customer-first culture through visible leadership, clear communication, and effective performance management.
  • Champion the customer journey, ensuring consistency across all outlets.
  • Ensure full compliance with all relevant food hygiene, health and safety, allergen, and due diligence requirements.
  • Manage day-to-day budgets, ordering, stock control and wastage reduction in collaboration with the Coffee Shop Manager and Restaurant Supervisory Team.
  • Monitor and analyse KPIs and identify areas to improve efficiency and margin.
  • Embed the strategic direction provided by the Head of Catering into daily operations.
