The Catering Manager supports the planning, coordination, and execution of events, ensuring all logistical and administrative aspects run smoothly. Working closely with the Events Director, this role helps deliver memorable experiences for guests or clients, whether for corporate functions, social events, or special occasions.

Founded in 2011, JRI Hospitality owns and operates over 80 restaurants in 11 states, including management of the food service operations at KWU. JRI continues to open stores across the country and is working on opening additional stores in Texas, Georgia, Arizona, and Kansas in the upcoming years.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

  • 1–3 years of experience in event planning, hospitality, or administrative support (internships included).
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and event planning software
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to hear with 100% accuracy (with correction).
  • 20/20 vision (with correction).
  • Ability to stand and walk for up to 10 hours per day.
  • Frequent reaching, bending, lifting, carrying, stooping, and wiping throughout shifts.
  • Ability to lift and move items up to 30 pounds and navigate stairs as needed.
  • Strong reading, writing, math, and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the planning and execution of events from conception through completion.
  • Coordinate event logistics including venue setup, catering, décor, equipment rentals, and transportation.
  • Serve as a point of contact To Food and Beverage Operator and Executive Chef
  • Prepare event materials such as signage, name tags, programs, and registration lists.
  • Help with on-site event setup and teardown.
  • Maintain organized records of event details.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, health, and legal regulations.
