All about the role: We are seeking to appoint an experienced catering manager to oversee the day to day running of our school kitchen. Duties will include: preparation and serving of daily meals which cater for different dietary requirements as appropriate Liasing with the Headteacher to agree nutritious menus for the term. Ensuring all health & safety procedures are adhered to Managing stock rotation and providing weekly orders to the school office. Implementing a whole school ‘healthy schools’ approach Setting up and managing ‘themed meals/days’ to include the wider school community i.e parents We are looking for someone who: Has experience of working in a kitchen environment Holds an NVQ level 3 (or equivalent qualification) in catering Can maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism Is able to work on their own initiative Can thrive in a high pressured environment We can offer: Excellent professional development opportunities A friendly working environment An inclusive and caring ethos – a strong and positive family feel Specialist staff and a motivated team Find out more and apply: The successful applicant will work within the main school kitchen alongside our current Assistant Cook.
