JOB SUMMARY:

This role requires strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of the hospitality industry. The Catering Sales Managers key role is the development and implementation of sales strategies, building relationships with key clients, and collaborating with other departments to ensure excellent guest experiences and profitability.

SKILLS, ABILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3+ years of experience in the hospitality field, preferably in a full-service hotel
  • Excellent leadership skills, analytical skills, and communication skills
  • Proficient computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Availability to work weekends and holidays as needed
  • Able to speak both official languages is an asset
    Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
    Pay: $40,000.00-$43,000.00 per year

Responsibilities
  • Ensure the clients experience is successful and function as the brand ambassador throughout their journey
  • Build long term relationship with planners and hosts to increase loyalty to the brand
  • At pre-event planning stage consult with meeting planners to optimize all elements of the meeting including space, break flow, menu, and design to improve meeting efficiency
  • Arrange agreed details of meeting event e.g. room set-ups, staging, lighting
  • Conduct pre-event meetings with clients and catering colleagues
  • Meet with each meeting planner daily to debrief on daily events
  • Relate to business needs and make sure team prioritizes the things that help our guests get their business done
  • Conduct banquet and catering facility tours and entertain clients to enhance the guests’ meeting and or banquet experience
  • Help plan the menu and logistics for each event
  • Provide hands-on support during the actual event
  • Manage relationships with repeat customers
