Catering Sales Manager - Embassy Suites by Hilton DC Convention Center
The is looking for a Catering Sales Manager to join the team! Nestled in the vibrant city center and just two blocks from the Washington Convention Center our property offers guests comfort and convenience near the National Mall, White House, and Lincoln Memorial. We also feature a dedicated event space with over 8,000 sq. ft. of flexible space—including the 5,568 sq. ft. Capital Ballroom for up to 480 guests, a private dining room, on-site catering, and full A/V support.
Ideal candidates have a minimum of 3 years in catering sales, event planning, or hospitality sales, maintain long-term client relationships, particularly with corporate and social accounts, and Excellent verbal and written communication skills for timely and professional interaction with clients and internal teams.
Shift Pattern: Must have full availability to work days, evenings, holiday’s, and weekends as needed.
Pay Rate: $25.90 - $30.90 per hour

Responsibilities
  • Organize, plan and prioritize your duties by developing plans and goals.
  • Timely communication to internal and external clients via telephone, email, written documents or in person.
  • Create and maintain relationships with clients to set and meet client expectations and deliver on those expectations.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of job systems, products, systems, and processes.
  • Resolve conflicts and negotiate with others while handling complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts.
  • Selling and influencing both internal and external clients.
  • Make decisions and solve problems by analyzing and evaluating the issues and determine the best solution.
  • Ensure high quality service by communicating and assisting others to understand the guest needs, providing direction and guidance, feedback and individual coaching when needed.
  • Participate in customer site inspections and assist with the sales process as necessary.
  • Other duties as necessary based on business needs.
