Catering Sales Manager - Embassy Suites by Hilton San Diego La Jolla
Embassy Suites by Hilton San Diego La Jolla is looking for a motivated Catering Sales Manager! Located across Westfield UTC Mall and the UTC Trolley Station nestled in a busy business district just minutes away from the gorgeous shores of La Jolla is where you will find the Embassy Suites by Hilton San Diego La Jolla. The property offers 340 rooms and 10,000 square feet of banquet space and along with their popular made to order complimentary breakfast and evening reception for guests.

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • Be a self-starter with the ability to build relationships.
  • Strong time management skills and able to create sales game plans.
  • Must have 1-3 years of experience as an Events Coordinator; management experience in this space is desirable.
  • Previous experience in catering sales is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of hotel property management systems Delph.fdc and Microsoft Office Suite – specifically Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook are ideal.
  • Previous Food and Beverage menu planning would be advantageous.
  • Relevant degree, in business development or other relevant business field, from an academic institution (CMP, CPCE) is a plus.

Salary range for this role is $72,000-$76,000

  • To organize, plan and prioritize your duties by developing plans and goals.
  • Timely communication to internal and external clients via telephone, email, written documents or in person.
  • Create and maintain relationships with clients to set and meet client expectations and deliver on those expectations.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of job systems, products, systems, and processes.
  • Resolve conflicts and negotiate with others while handling complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts.
  • Selling and influencing both internal and external clients.
  • Make decisions and solve problems by analyzing and evaluating the issues and determine the best solution.
  • Ensure high quality service by communicating and assisting others to understand the guest needs, providing direction and guidance, feedback and individual coaching when needed.
  • Participate in customer site inspections and assist with the sales process as necessary.
  • Other duties as necessary based on business needs.
