Description Position Overview The Catering Server / Driver position will manage the hospitality experience through daily meal execution and the snack program. This position will be responsible for packing up the daily catered meals at the commissary kitchen in Oakland and driving them to our client location. The Catering Server / Driver will then unload the meal and perform all front of house duties including daily meal service set-up and break down, replenishing and hosting within the space, and maintaining a clean service environment. This position will then drive the dirties and leftovers back to the kitchen and make preparations for the next day. This role may be asked to cross-train in basic culinary positions/techniques as needed to contribute to the team's success. Our Workplace business unit offers multiple food program solutions to meet our clients' needs. Requirements Responsibilities Transport meals from Fare Kitchen to client location in company-provided van Assist in the food transportation to and from the onsite delivery dock and the client office, including all loading and unloading Setup and breakdown of daily meal services and all other points of service Replenish service line and answer questions throughout service Be a friendly face and host within all office kitchen areas Create an authentic connection with our client community Help uphold Just Fares’ hospitality standards Restock and organize all snacks and beverages Maintain a clean and organized work/service environment Help with signage for all offerings Assist with maintaining pars for snacks & beverages Monitor time and temperature of food for safety/sanitation purposes Send detailed end of service reports daily Qualifications & Requirements 2+ years experience in a professional kitchen or hospitality environment with a passion for food & people Valid driver’s license and clean driving record Positive attitude, strong work ethic, communication & patience Attendance & punctuality is required with schedule flexibility determined by needs Ability to be self-sufficient & make sound decisions on-the-fly Understanding & knowledge of safety, sanitation & food handling procedures Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs and support with loading items in and out of van Preferred: Basic computer skills (docs, spreadsheets, google docs, etc.) Preferred: Good knowledge of local products, producers and farms Smart Phone Mobile device required for daily communications Basic Food Handler Certification Compensation & Benefits Competitive wages in an equitable tiered pay structure for all positions.
