Performs a variety of routine duties related to the preparation, presentation, and serving of food; cleans area and meeting rooms. Reports to Catering Manager.

  • Set up, serves, and cleans up all scheduled catering events or Physicians Dining Rooms with established procedures.
  • Preparation and cooking of food.
  • Able to follow recipes. Presents all menu items in an attractive manner, following sanitary procedures and maintaining adequate supplies, food and nonfood during scheduled catering events. Informs Catering Manager or Chef of all supply and equipment needs.
  • Greets all customers promptly and courteously.
  • Recognizes and accommodates the preferences of various customers, i.e. Medical Staff, Administration.
  • Stores and maintains prepared and partially prepared foods in optimum conditions until served. Devises best methods of storage and presentation.
  • Accurately completes all documentation requirements, temperature logs, cleaning schedules, etc.
  • Understands HACCP guidelines.
  • Understands role in hospitals fire, safety and disaster programs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or requested.

Experience - Previous experience in food service is preferred.
Education - High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
