Job Title: Catering Supervisor
Trust: Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust
Location: Torbay Hospital, Lowes Bridge, Torquay TQ2 7AA
Shift Pattern: Monday- Sunday Shift patterns rotating: 06:00 – 14:00 / 08:00 – 16:00 / 11:15 – 19:15 / 37.5hrs per week.
Pay: £13.13 an hour (up to £22.19ph on weekends)

ABOUT THE TRUST:

Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust are seeking dedicated and experienced Catering Assistants to work on our Wards at Torbay Hospital. You will play a vital role in ensuring that patients receive nutritious and appetising meals, tailored to their dietary requirements. This is an opportunity to make a real difference in the well-being of patients while working in a friendly and supportive environment. This physically demanding role requires you to be on your feet for long periods and working efficiently in a busy environment.

YOU’LL HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

• NVQ Level 3 food related qualification
• Food safety level 2 certificate essential
• Experience with food / food hygiene / food safety
• Good communication skills as sometimes patient facing while serving
• NHS experience – desirable but not essential

• To oversee the smooth running of a busy Catering Dept
• Serving customers
• Using electronic tills,money handling,cashing up and recording of takings
• Supervising Catering staff ,managing staff rotas and holidays.
• Help managing sickness reviews and ensure staff complete online mandatory training.
• Following strict food safety process, taking temperatures, stock control and related HACCP paperwork.
• Flexible approach as may need to change roles at short notice.
