Summary Performs invasive cardiac, peripheral vascular diagnostic, interventional and electrophysiology procedures using sophisticated imaging, hemodynamic monitoring and recording equipment to assess and treated cardiac and peripheral vascular disease. Job Description Ability to perform all of the duties of a Cardiac Technologist. Ability to work with growth and development needs of unique client populations. Possesses a thorough knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, hemodynamic principles, X-Ray techniques and emergent and routine cardiac care. Utilizes effective cardiac communication skills and knows change process and utilizes conflict resolution. Possesses expert level understanding of pharmacologic options to treat patients. Understands any special protocols for conscious sedation of patients. Ability to work with the growth and development needs of unique client populations including children to geriatrics. Qualifications Associate’s degree in cardiovascular technology or equivalent experience is required. Possesses expert knowledge in cardiovascular technology, including pharmacology and advanced cardiac rhythm management. Possesses a thorough understanding of cardiac anatomy, physiology, hemodynamic principles, X-ray techniques, and emergent and routine cardiac care. Certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) within 12 months of hire is preferred. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) if applicable to position is preferred. Depending on location Certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) within 12 months of hire is required. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is required within 6 months of hire and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) if applicable to position is preferred.
