How you’ll contribute A Cath Lab Technician who excels in this role: Provide direct and indirect patient care in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. Perform all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/healthcare errors. Ability to formulate an individualized plan of care, revise plan as indicated by the patient’s response to treatment, and evaluation overall plan daily for effectiveness. Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate to care team, provider, patient, and family following chain of command as appropriate. Collaborate as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs. Evaluate learning needs of patient and/or family and provide patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances. Work as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient protecting patient’s rights. Additional requirements include: Registered by ARRT as Radiologic Technologist. CI or RCIS preferred. BLS. ACLS obtained within 6 months of hire.
