PART-TIME CATTERY ASSISTANT REQUIRED

Queniborough Cattery are currently looking for a reliable cat loving and enthusiastic part time animal care assistant.
This role is part-time and pays minimum hourly wage. The successful candidate must be comfortable working flexible hours. The role during busy periods of the year may change to a more full-time role depending upon circumstance. During quiet periods there may be a minimum of 8 hours a week required.
The working hours are from 8:00am to 12:00pm noon. However, there is also a possibility to work a late afternoon shift depending upon requirement which is currently 4:30pm to 6:00pm. It is essential that you are able to work on weekends and banks holidays (including Christmas and New Year).
As the cattery is outdoors, you will be working in all weather conditions.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have a good work ethic, be well mannered, punctual, and reliable.
• Flexible with working hours / days
• Experience communicating with the general public.
• Reasonable fitness level to carry out the role.
• Must have ability to drive and own vehicle.
• Have high standards of cleanliness
• Basic computer literacy.
• An animal care qualification
• Experience of domestic animal care from working in the animal care industry. An animal care qualification is desirable.

• Cleaning cat enclosures
• Feeding cats
• Providing cats with fuss and attention
• Greeting clients and their cats
• Checking in and discharging cats
• Checking vaccination certificates on arrival
• Taking clients payments on arrival
• Possible administering of medication (training will be given if needed)
• Possible administration tasks including booking in client’s pets and other administrative tasks.
• Possible grounds maintenance for example sweeping outdoor area and keeping it tidy.
