Description
Description The Cattle Analyst & Receptionist supports Wilson Cattle Co.’s Outside Cattle Desk by managing daily accounting operations, cattle performance reporting, inventory tracking, and front office administrative functions. This role works closely with operations leadership to ensure accurate financial processing, compliance reporting, organized data management, and professional customer service. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, team-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced agricultural environment while serving as a welcoming first point of contact for the company. Duties: This position is responsible for all accounting functions of the company’s Outside Cattle Desk as well as Front Office Reception. Duties include the following: Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable preparation and reconciliation Feed invoices, freight invoices, cattle payments and sales Daily banking and monthly reconciliation Building various reports outlining cattle performance and sales Work with Operations Manager and Supervisors to track various operations metrics for reporting Receiving and compiling information into various filing structures Online databases and storage, paperless office Tracking and reconciling cattle inventory Receivings, shipments, performance Building and tracking various agreements Feed agreements, pasture contracts, program qualifications GAP and IMI Compliance reporting and Audit Review and update applicable procedures Reception Answering and directing phone calls Gathering, sorting, distributing daily mail Managing office supplies Experience/Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business and/or Accounting, preferred. Skills: Experience with Microsoft programs (Excel, Word, etc.) Accounting knowledge Delivering and receiving information clearly and concisely Personable with good customer service skills Able to work as part of a team Organized Compensation: Competitive compensation program including: Salary (depending on experience), Annual Incentive Bonus Program, Health/Vision/Dental/Life Insurance, Paid Vacation, and 401k Program.
