Position Summary: The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for executing daily inventory control activities to ensure accurate inventory records, timely discrepancy resolution, and compliance with company procedures across approximately 40–45 branch and manufacturing locations nationwide. This is a task-driven, detail-focused role that supports both branch and manufacturing operations. The position works independently with limited supervision while managing high-volume inventory control activities and escalating complex issues as needed. Key Responsibilities Inventory Accuracy & Cycle Counts Review and post daily cycle counts following established procedures Conduct routine and spot inventory audits Assist with physical inventories and recounts Discrepancy Management Document and track inventory discrepancies, shortages, overages, and variances Research routine issues and escalate complex discrepancies Submit and follow up on truck discrepancies within required timelines Operations Support Support branch and manufacturing locations with inventory-related tasks Ensure all inventory transactions are completed accurately and on time Assist during audits, peak periods, and operational needs Process Compliance & Documentation Follow established inventory control procedures and SOPs Maintain accurate and organized documentation Ensure compliance with internal standards and guidelines Communication & Coordination Communicate clearly with branches, manufacturing, and internal teams Provide updates on inventory issues and process changes Respond to emails and tickets within departmental service level expectations Travel & Flexibility Provide branch support as needed, including 25–35% travel across thestates Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Timely discrepancy resolution Audit participation and effectiveness Compliance with inventory procedures Responsiveness to communication and requests Completion of assigned tasks within deadlines Core Competencies Detail-oriented and analytical mindset Accountability and reliability Problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities Process-driven and organized approach Work Environment Office and warehouse/manufacturing setting Regular system use and data entry Travel to branch locations as needed Why Join Spectra Gutter Systems?
