Central Coast Mental Health Service is seeking a dedicated Administrative Support Officer to provide high-level administrative and public/customer relations support, contributing to the efficient operation of our Mental Health Unit.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support clinical needs of the ward, including admissions and discharges within the Mental Health Unit at Gosford.
  • Prepare and manage legal documentation in accordance with the Mental Health Act, including documents for Mental Health Tribunal hearings, inpatient inquiries, and community treatment orders.
  • Deliver reception and general administrative duties such as patient list preparation, typing, photocopying, and maintaining up-to-date admission/discharge records.
  • Coordinate ward/unit administrative systems to ensure office efficiency, aligned with LHD policies and standards.
  • Provide responsive, effective customer service, managing enquiries and information flow.
  • Perform minute-taking for meetings and manage meeting documentation.
  • Assist senior officers and train other administrative staff as required.
  • Travel across the Central Coast Mental Health Service to assist with vacancies and leave relief as directed.

About You:

  • Strong initiative and ability to apply effective work practices to achieve unit outcomes.
  • Demonstrated computer/data entry skills, specifically with MS office products in particular Microsoft Word, Excel, email, internet based applications and databases.
  • Demonstrated ability to use initiative and work in a busy environment without supervision, within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated experience working in Mental Health environment
