VACCINATION REQUIREMENTS

All NSW Health workers are required to comply with the Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination Against Specified Infectious Diseases Policy Directive (PD2024_015). This includes:
Category A positions: Mandatory evidence of protection against specified infectious diseases, including annual influenza vaccination and tuberculosis assessment.
Category B positions: Vaccination is recommended but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

Our ED operates as a truly multidisciplinary unit, where collaboration is key. Each shift is led by a Nurse Unit Manager, you’ll be supported by a skilled team including Clinical Nurse Consultant, Clinical Nurse Educators, Clinical Nurse Specialists, Nurse Practitioners, and a wide range of allied health professionals. This includes social workers, pharmacists, physiotherapists, administration staff, and our dedicated patient support service team who all work together to ensure safe, seamless, and patient-centred care.
At the leadership level, the department benefits from the guidance of a Nurse Manager, and Medical Directors. Together, they foster a cohesive and forward-thinking work environment focused on continuous improvement and clinical excellence.
We’re excited about implementing safe staffing levels within our ED in the near future, which will ensure the provision of safe and timely care, improve patient outcomes, and support workforce sustainability. Wyong ED offers a 12-hour shift profile, with both full time and part time positions available to suit your lifestyle and career goals.
