We’re seeking Registered Nurses with surgical inpatient unit experience who are passionate about delivering high quality, compassionate care in a fast paced and supportive environment. This is a fantastic opportunity to apply your specialist skills in wound care and orthopaedic nursing within a collaborative and dynamic team.
We currently have 4 temporary and permanent vacancies including maternity leave cover for this inpatient Unit
This is a maternity relief position and should the permanent incumbent require an early return from maternity leave, this contract of employment will cease with two weeks notice. Maternity relief positions can be for a period of up to 12 months, with the possibility of continued employment for up to a further 12 months for maternity leave reduced hours, therefore there are no claims to permanency.

About You

  • You hold current working rights in Australia – please note that CCLHD does not currently provide visa sponsorship for this position.
  • You have a minimum of 12 months acute surgical care nursing experience, ideally within a hospital setting.
  • You are currently registered with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
  • You demonstrate competent clinical skills aligned with the Registered Nurse Standards of Practice.
  • You have strong abilities in assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
  • You are confident in working within a multidisciplinary team environment, and collaborate effectively with colleagues, patients, and carers.
  • You possess the ability to delegate and supervise Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Assistants in Nursing (AINs) according to their scope of practice.
  • You are committed to ongoing professional development and participate in performance reviews.

VACCINATION REQUIREMENTS

All NSW Health workers are required to comply with the Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination Against Specified Infectious Diseases Policy Directive (PD2024_015). This includes:

  • This is a category A position: Mandatory evidence of protection against specified infectious diseases, including annual influenza vaccination and tuberculosis assessment.
