At Central Coast Local Health District, our vision is clear: Trusted care. Better health for everyone.
Join a fast-paced, dynamic environment where no two shifts are the same. Our Medical Assessment Unit (MAU) is the frontline of acute medical care, with a high turnover of patients presenting with a wide range of complex and undifferentiated conditions. This is the perfect role for Registered Nurses who thrive on variety, quick decision-making, and being part of a skilled, high-functioning team that plays a critical role in early diagnosis, stabilisation, and patient flow across the hospital.
We are recruiting to both temporary and permanent positions for this unit, including maternity leave cover.
This is a maternity relief position and should the permanent incumbent require an early return from maternity leave, this contract of employment will cease with two weeks notice. Maternity relief positions can be for a period of up to 12 months, with the possibility of continued employment for up to a further 12 months for maternity leave reduced hours, therefore there are no claims to permanency.

VACCINATION REQUIREMENTS

All NSW Health workers are required to comply with the Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination Against Specified Infectious Diseases Policy Directive (PD2024_015). This includes:

  • This is a category A position: Mandatory evidence of protection against specified infectious diseases, including annual influenza vaccination and tuberculosis assessment.

Applicants must provide appropriate evidence of compliance prior to commencement. For detailed information, please refer to the NSW Health Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination Policy.
