Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD) is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join the Psychiatric Emergency Care Centre (PECC) at Wyong Hospital, providing specialised, person-centred care to patients with complex mental health, substance use, and psychosocial needs.

VACCINATION REQUIREMENTS

All NSW Health workers are required to comply with the Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination Against Specified Infectious Diseases Policy Directive (PD2024_015). This includes:

  • Category A positions: Mandatory evidence of protection against specified infectious diseases, including annual influenza vaccination and tuberculosis assessment.

This short-term, full-time contract is the perfect opportunity to gain valuable experience in acute mental health nursing, within the Psychiatric Emergency Care Centre (PECC) at CCLHD

  • As a PECC RN, you’ll play a vital role in delivering high-quality, person-centred care to individuals experiencing acute mental health, drug and alcohol, or complex psychosocial challenges. Working as part of a dedicated multidisciplinary team, you’ll specialise in mental health assessment, care planning, and the management of high-risk behaviours and co-existing conditions. You’ll also liaise with other mental health services across CCLHD and neighbouring districts to support safe and coordinated care through referral, admission, and discharge planning.
  • This position is ideal for experienced mental health nurses or Registered Nurses seeking a career change into mental health. You’ll be well-supported with a comprehensive orientation, opportunities for ongoing professional development, and the chance to grow your clinical expertise in a high-intensity, fast-paced environment.
  • You’ll work a 7-day rotating roster, including mornings, evenings, and night shifts.
  • Free parking is available on site, making your commute easier
