Are you a dedicated nurse with a passion for inclusive, high-impact care? Central Coast Local Health District is seeking a Sexual Health Nurse to join our team and deliver world-class, culturally safe care to some of the most vulnerable and high-priority patients in our community.

VACCINATION REQUIREMENTS

All NSW Health workers are required to comply with the Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination Against Specified Infectious Diseases Policy Directive (PD2024_015). This includes:
Category A positions: Mandatory evidence of protection against specified infectious diseases, including annual influenza vaccination and tuberculosis assessment.
Category B positions: Vaccination is recommended but not mandatory.
Applicants must provide appropriate evidence of compliance prior to commencement. For detailed information, please refer to the NSW Health Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination Policy.
NSW Health strongly recommends all workers stay up to date with COVID-19 vaccinations as per the Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation guidelines. However, COVID-19 vaccination is not a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

As a Sexual Health Nurse you will play a vital role in:

  • Providing expert clinical care and health education to diverse communities attending the sexual health service.
  • Delivering a sexual health service, including testing for STI’s and BBV’s, genital examinations, vaccinations, venepuncture, triage and referral.
  • Supporting public health outcomes through early detection, patient education, and contact tracing of notifiable infections.
  • Driving continuous improvement through research, professional development, and participation in innovative clinical projects.
