Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD) is seeking a dedicated and experienced Simulation Coordinator to join our multidisciplinary education team. This role plays a key part in delivering high-quality, simulation-based education programs aimed at improving clinical skills, procedural competency, and patient safety across our hospitals.
Based at Gosford Hospitals, this position supports both hospital-based staff and undergraduate students, with a particular focus on the Joint Medical Program. Working in a supportive and collaborative environment, you will be instrumental in advancing simulation education and contributing to the strategic direction of clinical training within the District.

VACCINATION REQUIREMENTS

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

As Simulation Coordinator, you’ll work closely with clinical educators and teaching staff to develop, deliver, and evaluate engaging simulation programs for both hospital-based staff and undergraduate medical students – primarily through the Joint Medical Program. You’ll be part of a vibrant and supportive team that values collaboration, professional growth, and a shared commitment to “Caring for the Coast”. Working days of the week can be negotiated.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and deliver high- and low-fidelity simulation education programs
  • Facilitate simulation scenarios, technical support, and debriefing sessions
  • Mentor and support clinical staff and students through training and role modelling
  • Operate and maintain simulation manikins, AV systems, and medical devices
  • Contribute to strategic planning for clinical education across the District
  • Participate in research and continuous improvement in simulation practices
