Job Description Responsibilities You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. That includes: Monitor and operate life safety, access control, and loss prevention systems Respond to alarms and dispatch personnel to investigate incidents Answer multi-line telephones and communicate via radio and intercom systems Dispatch mobile officers to secure access areas and respond to emergencies Maintain detailed shift records and generate incident reports Assist and direct emergency personnel and internal response teams Observe and report unsafe or unusual activities Monitor security personnel movements to ensure safety and efficiency Initiate emergency calls and follow response procedures Support the development and implementation of security policies Provide feedback to improve operational processes Monitor media and other sources for relevant client data Participate in training and development courses Uphold Securitas’ values of Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness Assist in maintaining and updating control room documentation Please note - The responsibilities listed here aren’t the full picture—but they give you a good sense of the role. Ideally, you’ll have: Essential Valid SIA Frontline Licence and CCTV Licence Minimum 3 years of corporate safety/security experience 2–3 years of SOC operator experience Advanced computer skills and ability to multi-task Strong problem-solving and logical thinking skills Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure Excellent communication and organisational skills Right to work in the UK and 5-year checkable history Desirable Valid UK Driving Licence Experience with scheduling technology systems Previous CCTV operator experience Familiarity with alarm monitoring systems and radio/phone usage Basic First Aid Certification Why Join Securitas?
