JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a vigilant and detail-oriented Surveillance Operator to join our security team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring surveillance systems to ensure the safety and security of our premises. This role is crucial in preventing loss and maintaining a secure environment for both staff and customers. The Surveillance Operator will work closely with the security team to identify potential threats and respond appropriately.

EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience in surveillance or loss prevention roles is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with CCTV systems and monitoring software is essential.
  • Knowledge of first aid procedures is a plus, enhancing the ability to respond effectively during emergencies.
  • Strong observational skills with the ability to remain alert for extended periods.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to report incidents accurately.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and professionalism at all times.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor CCTV feeds and other surveillance equipment to detect suspicious activities or behaviours.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the premises to ensure all security measures are in place and functioning effectively.
  • Document incidents, observations, and any relevant information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency services as necessary in the event of an incident.
  • Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying patterns of theft or fraud through surveillance analysis.
  • Maintain an understanding of first aid procedures to assist in emergencies if required.
  • Participate in training sessions to stay updated on surveillance technology and best practices.
