JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Supervisor to oversee clinical documentation integrity activities within the inpatient setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare management, with expertise in various medical practices and systems. This role is crucial for overseeing daily operations, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and maintaining high standards of patient care. The Supervisor will lead a team of CDI Specialists, ensuring high-quality clinical documentation and fostering an environment of collaboration and continuous improvement.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Strong knowledge of clinical documentation standards, coding guidelines (ICD-10, CPT), and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage with clinical staff and management.
  • Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and CDI software.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing, Medical Graduate, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in clinical documentation integrity, focusing on inpatient services in acute care hospital settings.
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience
  • Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist (CCDS) or Certified Clinical Documentation Improvement Practitioner (CCDP).
  • Familiarity with healthcare reimbursement methodologies and quality metrics.
  • Knowledge of data analytics and reporting tools is advantageous.
  • Ability to travel every quarter to provide education at the facility

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Additional coding certifications (e.g., Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA)) are a plus.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
    Job Type: Full-time
    Pay: $55.00 per hour
    Expected hours: 40 per week
