Description Position Summary: Operates commercial vehicle consisting of Tractor- trailer (in excess of 26,000 lbs) in the transport and delivery of subassemblies, tractors, lawn and garden equipment and other commercial equipment to customer, store or other locations. May pick up customer owned equipment for repair or maintenance. Essential Functions: 1. Operates Tractor-trailer or other commercial vehicles over intrastate and interstate roads in the pick up and delivery of new and used units and component assemblies. 2. Loads/ unloads trailers for pick-up and delivery of units and accessories to customers and other MB locations according to manifest and verbal or written instructions using material handling equipment. 3. Observes all OSHA, DOT and state and local traffic rules and regulations in the performance of duties. Secures loads in conformance to DOT requirements. Completes all required paperwork and time recording. 4. Interacts with customers at residences and work sites, collects payments and obtains required signatures. Other Functions: 1. Operates equipment in safe manner. Observes all safety rules. 2. Receives direction from Service Manager regarding daily schedule. 3. Maintains vehicle appearances and performs routine maintenance checks ( i.e. fluids, mechanical, brakes, etc.). 4. Other related duties as assigned. Requirements Education: High School or equivalent. Experience: 3-5 yrs of driving and delivery Specific Skills: Safe operation of commercial vehicles and material handling equipment Specialized Knowledge, Licenses: State Drivers license (CDL-A), Forklift Training. Physical Requirements: DOT Health Card, subject to drug and alcohol testing Clean Driving Record Working Conditions: Over the road conditions vary according to season. Exterior load/ unload stock in all weather conditions.
