Must be on time, available for dispatch, and accept all loads.* Schedule Local position Home daily Varying schedule/hours Must be available for work/dispatch any hours of the day Overnights not routine, but possible Weekends possible and required Scheduled time off available Job Details Primary responsibility for driver is preloading trailers Driver may also deliver local freight when needed Responsibilities Preloading trailers for other drivers to deliver. Obtaining all load paperwork for pre-loads, making it available to delivering drivers. Monitoring weights when preloading to ensure legal limits are obeyed. Working efficiently and productively with customer loaders at facility. Safely delivering shipments to assigned customers when dispatched. Completion of all required paperwork, including getting required signatures on documents and bill of ladings Maintaining and complying with all state and federal laws Obeying DOT and FMCSA E-log requirements Submitting all load documents in a timely manner Upholding a professional attitude at all times Keeping load appointments on time and as scheduled Qualifications Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License Current medical certificate 2-years verifiable tractor-trailer experience 1-year verifiable tanker experience Tanker endorsement Hazmat endorsement Past 7 years without: Driving violation involving the consumption of illegal or intoxicating substances A preventable rollover or fatality crash Past 3 years without: License suspensions involving drug and/or alcohol, or a record that would indicate a disregard for public safety A major preventable accident Two or more moving convictions Benefits Holiday and vacation pay Medical, dental, and vision insurance Employee Assistance Program Life insurance, disability insurance Flexible Spending Accounts (Health & Dependent Care) 401 (K)Profit sharing with company match (fully vested after 3 years) Safety Commitments We make safety a part of every decision We make safety personal We have the courage to intervene Pay Range USD $1,400.00 - USD $1,500.00 /Wk.
