Description A truck driver is responsible for transporting goods from one location to another. Truck drivers must possess a CDL-A and be knowledgeable in all traffic laws. They should expect to work long hours as well as drive long distances. Our drivers must also have excellent communication and customer service skills as they will be communicating with the client during their pickup/delivery and must also communicate with the dispatching team. Responsibilities Perform daily pre-and post-trip vehicle inspections per procedure. Complete deliveries and pickups as scheduled. Follow delivery instructions and loading procedures in a safe and incident-free manner. Complete and turn in paperwork daily. Input information into digital computer systems for recordkeeping. Requirements Able to speak and read English. Class A Commercial Driver’s License. Able to pass a DOT physical and drug/alcohol test. Able to complete a Post Offer / Pre-Employment Physical Test. Able to complete background check. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and use a hand truck and electric pallet jack. Able and willing to work extended hours, 2-3 nights on the road, and weekends as necessary. Able to safely operate both manual and automatic transmissions.
