Responsibilities Operate Class A commercial vehicles safely and efficiently on local and designated routes. Inspect vehicles before and after routes to ensure proper functioning and report any defects. Load and unload goods following company and safety guidelines. Maintain accurate delivery logs, paperwork, and comply with DOT regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve issues. Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies at all times. Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report any problems immediately. Valid Class A CDL license with a clean driving record. Minimum of 6 months of experience driving commercial vehicles on local routes. Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards. Ability to perform physical tasks such as loading and unloading freight. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible schedules as needed. Ability to use electronic logging devices (ELDs) and related technology proficiently.
