PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Class A CDL Required.
• Minimum of 2 years driving experience.
• No major accidents in the past 3 years & minimal moving violations.
• Experience with dump trucks a plus.
• Experience and ability to operate other heavy equipment is a plus.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check as well as a drug screen.
• Sound knowledge of all DOT Regulations.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to stand/walk for 1-2 hours a day.
• Must be able to sit for 8-10 hours while driving and loading/unloading the tractor trailer.
• Ability to work outdoors with temperature/climate changes

TRUCK DRIVER TASKS INCLUDE:

• Operation of trucks in a safe and courteous manner including safe delivery and deposit of containers/trailers to the supplier and pick up of containers/trailers and delivery to the designated site for recycling on a daily basis.
• Operation of dump trailers.
• Completion of a pre/post trip inspection of vehicle each operating day.
• Securing loads safely and correctly before leaving the facility or a customer jobsite.
• Checking trailers and all equipment for damage before delivery and pick up.
• Checking the loads for proper weight distribution and securement.
• Communicating via cell phone with customer personnel for directions.
• Cleaning of truck and trailers.
• Ensuring all products are correctly accounted for on daily paperwork.
• Ensuring that all paperwork is turned in to Plant Clerk daily.
• Complying with company Safety Regulations and Procedures Policy.
• Maintaining DOT Daily Driver Logs and submission to Superintendent as required.
• Assisting in loading and unloading of trucks, maintenance, and general labor as required.
