Introduction: Four Corners Welding & Gas Supply is one of the largest regional independently owned and operated Welding, Industrial, Specialty, and Medical Gases distributors in the Southwestern U.S., with locations in Gallup and Milan, (NM) Cortez and Durango, (CO). In this role, you will primarily be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of medical and specialty gases, supporting our bulk delivery operations to customers in industries like hospitals and food service and the delivery of hard goods/welding supplies. This role sometimes includes periods of downtime between deliveries and it’s a good fit for someone comfortable with a balanced, low-stress pace. Education & Experience Requirements: * Required: High School or equivalent * Required: Current Class A CDL License * Required: Medical examiner certification * Required: Hazmat endorsement * Required: English language and comprehension * Required: 9-13 Manual shift transmission Key Responsibilities and Duties: * Operate company-owned trucks to facilitate shipping and receiving operations * Loads and unloads cylinders using proper handling and procedures * Transport and deliver compressed gas cylinders * Maintains a complete and accurate shipping manifest * Assisting and transfilling CO2 cylinders * Ensure cargo is properly secured for transport * Perform pre/post-trip inspections and ensure DOT compliance * Communication with dispatch * Completes paperwork such as delivery logs, mileage records, and fuel receipts * Performs basic vehicle maintenance, including refueling and cleaning * Maintain all required certification required by DOT and OSHA * Safe work practices and use of personal protective equipment * Clear communication and foster a cohesive and collaborative work culture * Exceptional customer service by maintaining a welcoming atmosphere * Protects the company’s value by keeping proprietary information confidential * Comply with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations * Performs all other assigned duties by management Competencies: * Technical skills * Problem solving * Adaptability * Decision Making * Communication * Sense of urgency Supervisory Responsibility: This position does not have supervisory duties Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Physical effort requires standing, sitting, walking, bending, stooping, twisting, squatting, pushing, pulling, reaching above shoulders, gripping, reach with hands and arms, carrying, climb up and down stairs.
