Responsibilities: Work and support Shipping Department needs. Collecting and loading materials in a manner that prevents breakage. Ensuring the truck has sufficient fuel at all times. Informing your clients and manager of potential delays Completing and submitting all necessary documentation Use handheld scanners to perform and resolve material transactions in real time. Perform Inventory Discrepancy Investigations as needed. Assist the Department needs to coordinate weekend, holiday, and/or overtime coverage. Escalate non-adherence to procedures and other critical situations to Inventory Control Supervisor or Manager Follow and lead by example in dock, facility, and personnel safety rules. Adhere to quality, food safety, and facility cleanliness expectations. Support other parallel teams when needed. Report all vehicle-related issues for urgent attention. Requirements Relevant and current CDL Experience operating like or similar vehicles for work purposes Comply with all road and transport rules and local laws Ability to drive safely, irrespective of the weather or time of day The ideal candidate must be detail-oriented and a self-starter with the ability to work independently for extended periods. Capable of working individually as well as in a team environment Demonstrates proactive behavior to prevent problems from occurring Knowledge and experience working with and implementing shipping and delivery best practices Previous material handling & forklift experience Previous experience in working with inventory and logistic system(s) Required sitting, standing, and walking during all hours of the shift. Use of powered industrial equipment/lift truck; stand-up reach truck, sit-down forklift, and electric walkie to move materials throughout the department & plant Ability to work in below 30 degrees temperatures for 4-8 hours of the workday and exposure to cold temperatures daily Above-average communication skills to support pass-downs between shifts. Use of hands for simple/firm grasping. Performs continuous repetitive hand motion Frequent bending and stooping and reaching below the waist and above shoulder level. Frequent lifting and carrying products from 5 pounds up to 50 pounds Occasional kneeling/pushing/pulling Proper use and donning of Personal Protective Equipment as required. Works hours and overtime as required; this may include work on weekends – hours are subject to change. Other duties as assigned by the shipping Supervisor or Manager
Responsibilities
The CDL Driver will support the Shipping Department by collecting and loading materials while ensuring safety and quality standards are met. Responsibilities also include managing documentation and addressing any potential delays in delivery.
