Description
We are seeking a local CDL Driver to complete deliveries for our Orlando, FL manufacturing plant. As a CDL Driver, you will be responsible for safely handling and delivering construction steel materials to local job sites and distribution centers.  Essential Functions: * Safe and legal operation of commercial delivery vehicles and forklifts  * Secure heavy, irregular steel loads using straps and edge protectors * Ability to lift, stand and move throughout the shift Responsibilities:  * Safe delivery and coordination with on-site foremen and crane/forklift operators for safe unloading of commercial construction materials  * Participating in the accurate and orderly placement of delivered material at each job site * Conduct mandatory daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections * Continuously abiding by traffic laws and regulatory agency guidelines * Maintain accurate electronic logs (ELD), delivery receipts and bills of lading * Inventory control Qualifications: * Valid Class A CDL license  * Proven ability to operate standard stick-shift transmissions * Five or more years of 18-wheel flatbed experience * Proven forklift experience * Clean driving record * Ability to stand, climb, reach, bend and twist throughout complete shifts What We Offer: * Competitive Wages, overtime opportunities plus an annual discretionary bonus! * Work-Life Balance: dedicated local routes during the weekdays, home time EVERY night! * Great Benefits: medical, dental and vision insurance, paid time off, paid holidays and many more! * Excellent Ways to Prepare for Your Future: 401K, short-term and long-term disability insurance and life insurance!
