Description Title: CDL Driver Department(s): Logistics Reports to: Logistics Manager Job Summary: Responsible for transporting different types of goods to customer locations using a truck. They are also required to perform inspections before and after a trip and unload cased products from the trailer to customer facilities. Gather and pack products, drive these to clients, and then return to our base to prepare for the next delivery. Perform all duties within the confines of the law. To ensure success as a CDL driver, you should pay close attention to the types and quantities of stock being delivered to avoid company losses. An exceptional CDL driver will be able to drive in all conditions, regardless of the time of day. Essential job functions: Safely Delivering product to customers. Safely strapping and securing material on a flatbed trailer. Prepare drivers logbook, vehicle condition report, and a weekly mileage report. Follow company paperwork procedure concerning delivery to customers. Perform financial transactions between customers and the company. Communicate with both customers and company throughout the workday. Follow all FMCSA safety regulations as mandated by the DOT. Other duties as needed. Requirements Required Skills & Abilities: Valid CDL class A license High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
