Description Key Duties/Responsibilities This position is responsible for performing general maintenance and repairs for assigned equipment most specifically trucks trailers and cooling units, including preventive maintenance, regulatory compliance. Slight exterior housekeeping, yard and sprinkler maintenance, mowing, fertilizing and weed control. · Inspect and identify Trailer and cooling units in need of repair · Perform PM’s to cooling units according to PM schedule · Perform light truck/trailer repair · Perform general repairs within the facility as time permits · Perform routine maintenance on building systems · Clean and assist with upkeep of the facilities · Maintain the perimeter grounds to include lawn and sprinklers · Shuttle trailers to and from offsite facilities · Shuttle trailers on sight as needed · Ensure trailers have DOT inspections per regulatory requirements · Additional duties as assigned Requirements Required Skills/Abilities · Ability to follow instructions from supervisors · Knowledge of general mechanics and repair · Ability to use hand tools and power tools · Excellent organizational and time management skills · CDL required Education and Experience · High school diploma or equivalent required · At least 1-year related experience preferred Physical Requirements Prolonged periods standing and walking Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time Working in 30 to 100-degree Fahrenheit environment SSI Foods is an Equal Opportunity Employer and Prohibits Discrimination and Harassment of Any Kind: SSI is committed to the principle of equal opportunity for all employees and to providing employees with a work environment free of discrimination and harassment.
