Description Eagle Transfer Company, an Agent for United Van Lines, has an opening for a CDL Driver/Household mover position. Successful candidate will possess the following qualifications: Minimum 1 year driving experience. This position does require a valid CDL license. Ability to communicate well and problem solve quickly and effectively. Attention to detail Forklift driving experience a plus Ability to use hand tools Essential Functions: Perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor moving furniture and heavy objects. Be able to lift 50 pounds consistently safely and properly. Load and unload trucks and moving vans in a variety of weather conditions. Pack and unpack boxes including fragile items such as china and crystal. Properly blanket wrap furniture for safe transport. Ensure proper safety procedures and bring problems to attention of the lead on the job. Be able to follow directions. Be able to move freely over stairs, wallboards and other obstacles. Requirements Competencies: Safely operate commercial motor vehicle Communication proficiency Neat and clean appearance Customer focus Results driven Teamwork This position has no supervisory responsibilities Physical Demands: The position lifts heavy objects, walks and stands for long periods of time and performs strenuous physical labor. The employee lifts, pushes, pulls or carries objects using leg, abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: Days and hours of work will normally occur Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Additional Eligibility Qualifications: -Pass pre-employment driver's history and background check and CDL drug screen to meet FMCSA requirements. Compensation: $28-30/hour depending upon experience Advancement opportunities if desired.
