Prestage Farms is seeking a reliable and safety-minded Commercial Driver to join our team! This position is responsible for safely transporting feed to and from the feed mill during night-shift operations. If you’re a responsible driver with a strong work ethic and a Class A CDL, we want to hear from you!This is a local, full-time position averaging 55-60 hours per week. Responsibilities Safely transport feed to and from the feed mill Perform accurate daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections Maintain cleanliness of tractor and trailer inside and out Load and unload trucks at assigned destinations Ensure compartments are clean and tarps are properly secured before loading Collect required ingredient samples Accurately complete all delivery forms and return documentation Follow all company safety rules, policies, and DOT regulations Adapt to unexpected situations such as traffic delays, weather, or route changes Ability to lift/move up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs. occasionally Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL-A) At least one year of verifiable commercial driving experience Must be21 years of age or older Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly Extensive knowledge of applicable truck-driving rules and DOT regulations No recent moving violations or safety-related driving violations Ability to work weekends as needed Willingness to submit to a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen Ability to provide employment references Adaptability, reliability, and strong problem-solving skills ADA REQUIREMENTS: Ability to walk, stoop, bend, climb, repetitive motions, see and distinguish colors, and hear In addition to very competitive pay employees of Prestage Farms receive: Sick Pay Vacation Pay Holiday Pay 401(k) Plan Medical Insurance Voluntary Insurance options such as Dental, Vision, Etc.
