Job Description DCS is currently seeking a Lead CDL Highway Technician. This is a leadership position responsible for overseeing the day-to-day maintenance of assigned highway projects. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES: Supervise and lead crews in performing a variety of highway maintenance tasks Operate heavy highway equipment as needed Perform grading and cleaning of ditches, drainage structures, road shoulders, and slopes using appropriate machinery Conduct general repair and maintenance tasks, including fence and sign repairs, litter and debris removal, and emergency response activities Ensure all equipment is used in a safe and proper manner Carry out roadside maintenance such as mowing and brush clearing Patch and repair damaged or eroded pavement and road shoulders Assist with storm recovery and cleanup efforts Qualifications EDUCATION: High School Diploma or Equivalent is required. EXPERIENCE: Must be at least 18 years of age Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record for a minimum of 5 years Demonstrated leadership abilities Capable of lifting 50–60 pounds Experience operating skid steers and dump trucks preferred Background in highway maintenance or construction is a plus Previous DOT (Department of Transportation) experience is highly desirable Ability to obtain ATSSA certification for traffic control installation Willingness to work overtime, including nights and weekends as needed Flexibility to adjust to changing work plans and schedules due to workload, seasonal demands, or unforeseen circumstances Additional Information Benefit Highlights: Challenging and rewarding work environment Competitive Compensation Excellent Medical, Dental, Vision and Prescription Drug Plan 401(K) Generous Paid Time Off Career Development Pay rate: $22-23/hourly Be a part of the DeAngelo family, today!
