We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to join our team in Charlotte, NC. Job Summary: The Operations Manager will oversee the daily operations of our transportation services in the Charlotte area. The successful candidate will have a strong background in transportation logistics, hold a valid CDL with Passenger and Air Brake Endorsement, and have the ability to lead and manage charter drivers effectively. This role also requires the flexibility to drive and cover last-minute call-outs or shortages. Key Responsibilities: Supervise Charter Drivers: Oversee and manage the performance and schedules of charter drivers to ensure high-quality service. Logistics Management: Plan and coordinate transportation schedules, routes, and assignments to optimize efficiency and meet customer needs. Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with federal, state, and local regulations, including DOT and safety requirements. Driver Training: Conduct training sessions for drivers on safety protocols, customer service, and company policies. Performance Monitoring: Monitor and evaluate driver performance, providing feedback, coaching, and disciplinary action when necessary. Customer Service: Handle customer inquiries and complaints, ensuring timely and satisfactory resolution. Reporting: Prepare and maintain operational reports, logs, and records. Analyze data to identify areas for improvement. Fleet Management: Coordinate with the Fleet Maintenance Manager to ensure all vehicles are properly maintained and meet safety standards. Driving Duties: Occasionally drive to cover last-minute call-outs or shortages, ensuring seamless service continuity. Collaboration: Work closely with the onsite Director of Sales and the Director of Maintenance on a daily basis to align operations with business goals and maintain service standards. Qualifications: Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in transportation logistics or a related field. CDL: Valid CDL with Passenger Endorsement and Air Brake is required. Leadership: Proven leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to manage a diverse team. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Customer Focus: Dedicated to providing excellent customer service. Technology: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with transportation management software.
