Summary The Truck Driver at our dealership is responsible for safely transporting trucks, parts, and equipment between dealership locations and customer sites. This role involves performing vehicle inspections, conducting road tests, and ensuring timely delivery and pickup of trucks before and after service or sale. The driver plays a key role in supporting dealership operations by maintaining vehicle condition, adhering to safety regulations, and providing excellent customer service during deliveries. Minimum Qualifications: * Valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License), Class A or B, with a school bus endorsement, and a clean driving record. * High school diploma or equivalent * Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience, preferably with heavy-duty trucks * Knowledge of DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safety standards * Ability to perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections * Good physical condition, able to lift up to 50 lbs and handle vehicle loading/unloading as needed * Strong communication and customer service skills * Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently * Familiarity with local and regional routes and safe driving practices Essential Job Functions: * Safely operate heavy-duty trucks to transport vehicles, parts, and equipment between dealership locations and customer sites * Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and operational readiness * Conduct road tests on trucks before and after repairs or sales to verify performance and condition * Load, secure, and unload cargo or vehicles following safety protocols * Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, vehicle condition, and inspections * Communicate effectively with service, parts, sales departments, and customers during pickups and deliveries * Adhere to all federal, state, and local driving regulations and dealership safety policies * Report any vehicle defects, accidents, or safety concerns promptly to management * Assist with general dealership duties such as vehicle cleaning, lot organization, or equipment maintenance as needed * If you are ready to drive your career forward with a company that values safety and excellence, apply today to join the North Central International team!   This is not necessarily a list of all the duties, responsibilities and requirements associated with this position.
