General Position Summary This CDL Truck Driver will have extensive knowledge of the industry in driving and hauling materials and equipment. This role will be organized, maintain a high- level of customer service in all dealings, be very dependable and have superior time management ability. Ice Solutions equipment with GPS tracking, e-logs, and dashcams with event detection. Drivers must have a “Safety-First” attitude and will follow all applicable laws and regulations for the associated work. Travel (% of work period) As needed, which may include overnight stays. Essential Job Functions · Assure compliance with DOT regulations in all areas and duties of operations · Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles including those that are equipped with tanker trailers and air brake systems · Adhere to all federal, state, and local transportation laws related to the role · Follow instructions from supervisors to perform deliveries to assigned locations · Transport bulk materials and liquids, including salt and brine, as well as other materials and equipment as designated · Exhibit a “Safety-First” culture by reporting issues with equipment or unsafe conditions · Perform pre-trip and post trip inspections ensuring proper equipment operations and loading, and safe load securement · Professional driving attitude with experience driving in a variety of road conditions · Demonstrate effective communication with Ice Solutions internal and external customers · Other duties as assigned Requirements Minimum Qualifications · 1 – 3 years of driving experience of Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) vehicles and equipment with tanker experience highly preferred · Must be able to acquire, have, and meet all the requirements to obtain and maintain Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) o Tanker Endorsement required o Air Brake endorsement or certification required · Must have a clean driving record · Background in driving and hauling materials and equipment · Strong knowledge of safety procedures and defensive driving practices Computer Skills: · Quick learning ability for new database programs, proficient navigation of communication platforms (such as GPS Mobile application, etc.), basic computer and phone knowledge, check in and check out of work orders required.
