Union Gospel Mission is seeking a CDL with Passenger Endorsement Warehouse/Bus Driver to help shuttle residents and children, process, organize, and merchandise donations. This role may have to lift, carry, and move furniture frequently and will drive on occasion to pick up or deliver furniture and other donations. This role also drops off and picks up children from appointments and events. Hours are Monday - Friday, 7 am - 4 pm.   POSITION SUMMARY Under the direction of the Warehouse Manager, the Warehouse/Bus Driver is responsible for sorting, organizing, distributing, and receiving material donations for Union Gospel Mission of Tarrant County. A normal day might look like this: 1. First thing in the morning, take children to school in the bus. 2. Morning food pick-up routes in the truck. 3. Afternoons working in the warehouse. 4. Mid-afternoon - pick up children from school in the bus.   Experience:   * Experience as a bus driver, mover, warehouse worker, large truck driver. * Minimum one year of Warehouse experience preferred.  Education: Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Additional Requirements:  Must have CDL and Passenger Endorsement   What You Do: * Drop off and pick up children from school. * Greet all donors and recipients with kindness and respect. * Communicate daily with Warehouse Manager. * Process and arrange donated items in a clean and organized array to appeal to shoppers.  * Sort, hang, fold, and merchandise clothing. * Shrink wrap, arrange, and clean furniture that is donated. * Help load furniture and household items onto the UGM trucks for the residents who have graduated the UGM program.  * Help load trucks for outside agencies that we help with furniture. * Unload UGM truck donations each day.  * Provide receipts for donations received.   * Connect with and direct volunteers. * Lift 50 lbs or more consistently. * Willing and able to do other duties as needed.
Responsibilities
The Warehouse/Bus Driver is responsible for transporting children to and from school and managing the receipt, organization, and distribution of material donations. This role also involves assisting with furniture deliveries and maintaining an orderly warehouse environment.
