About the Role
We are looking for a passionate and driven hospitality all-rounder to join us on a part-time basis to help deliver a memorable, engaging, and personalised experience for every guest by inspiring a high-performing, motivated team. In the absence of the Cellar Door Manager, you’ll take the lead in supervising the Cellar Door team, ensuring exceptional customer service and a seamless connection to the total Milawa experience.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES:

About You

To be successful in your application for this role you must be experienced in wine and food services and be able to demonstrate/hold:

  • Proven experience in hospitality coordination/supervision in a dynamic hospitality environment.
  • At least two years of experience in wine and food service.
  • A friendly, outgoing personality with a good sense of humour and a passion for engaging with the public.
  • Excellent communication skills—verbal, written, interpersonal, and negotiation.
  • Competence in Microsoft Office and related software.
  • Enthusiasm for and knowledge of wine, including wine styles and pairings.
  • Current driver’s license.
  • Current RSA certification.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • In the absence of the Cellar Door Manager, supervise the day-time operations of the Cellar Door.
  • Assist and support Cellar Door Manager in the implementation of operational activities in the Cellar Door.
  • Be responsible for the floor staff providing benchmark customer service to all customers, both internal and external.
  • Ensure correct procedures are followed to achieve accurate stock records.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, demonstrating benchmark customer service skills and a high level of product knowledge.
  • Supervise staff appropriately to achieve agreed working procedures, hygiene standards and morale.
  • Assist the Cellar Door Manager to provide staff training in “Front of House” activities as required.
