Now Hiring: Cellar Hands – Niagara Custom Crush Studio
Niagara Custom Crush Studio (NCCS) is Ontario’s first—and only—custom crush winery. We support more than 12 small-lot, premium wine producers by providing full-service production facilities in the heart of Niagara wine country.
As we head into harvest, we’re looking for hardworking, detail-oriented individuals to join our cellar team for the 2025 vintage.
Position: Cellar Hand (Seasonal – Full-Time Hours)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Grape processing: grape and juice reception, destemming, crushing, and pressing
  • Fermentation management: inoculations, nutrient additions, sampling, pump-overs, punch-downs, sugar monitoring, and digging out fermenters
  • Cellar work: barrel work, racking, product transfers, blending, and additions
  • Sanitation: cleaning of tanks, barrels, winery equipment, and general facility upkeep

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Able to lift 55 lbs and work at heights
  • Comfortable working long hours, including weekends, during peak harvest
  • Follows SOPs and safety protocols, including safe chemical handling
  • Willing to be trained in confined space entry and forklift operation
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Fluent in English
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous cellar experience
  • Students or graduates of oenology and viticulture programs
  • Forklift license and/or experience
  • Laboratory experience
  • Valid driver’s license
