We are looking for highly motivated and committed engineers to join our exciting team of innovators. In this role, you will be a key member of the cellular system engineering team working on physical-layer development, with a focus on demodulation (MIMO detection and demapping).

DESCRIPTION

In this technical role, you will be responsible for scoping and development of MIMO related physical-layer features in 4G-LTE and 5G-NR as part of cellular system engineering team working on innovative wireless products. • Define features and requirements, as proprietary initiative or based on 3GPP standards. • Explore and propose concepts & algorithms, identifying performance trade-offs. • Develop and simulate models to ensure robust functionality & performance. • Collaborate with hardware and firmware developers for power- & area-efficient realization; and • Drive end-to-end verification and resolve issues for commercialization.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Solid foundations in signal processing and communication theory, such as OFDM, MIMO techniques, signal/parameter estimation and detection.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with physical-layer architecture and porting concepts to HW or FW-ready designs.
  • Experience with Matlab, C/C++ and/or Python for concept development, modeling, and link-level simulation.
  • Strong teamwork spirit, respectful of diverse viewpoints, open to adapting ideas based on technical debates, sharing credit, focused on getting the best out of collective thoughts for achieving common goals.
  • Flexibility and agility to adapt to fast-paced collaborative environment.
  • Strong sense of accountability for collective success, sensitivity to the needs of projects/team and ability to proactively identify white spaces & steer partners toward closure.
  • Proficiency in English language is required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in MIMO related research and development, including collaboration with HW/FW towards product commercialization.
  • Familiarity with channel estimation and channel decoding.
  • Familiarity with cellular user equipment (UE) baseband modem architecture, including interfaces among subsystems.
  • Knowledge of cellular communication standards, in particular 4G-LTE and 5G-NR RAN1/RAN4, including PHY procedures.
  • Experience in chip bring-up and conducted/over-the-air lab/field verification.
  • M.S. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with proven years of working experience or Ph.D. in relevant field. Candidates with more experience will be considered for suitably senior positions.
